Career indecision: a systematic literature review

Purpose Research has been conducted to investigate the factors that influence career indecision. This study attempted synthesize empirical research on indecision (1) find common determinants over last two decades and (2) factors/areas need be addressed for future Design/methodology/approach used systematic literature review (SLR) methodology Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Following predetermined inclusion criteria, 118 articles from Scopus database were included review. Findings From this research, authors found four main indecision, namely career-related decision-making difficulties, adolescent differences, (3) individual situational profiles (CDMPs) (4) level of readiness choice, which have researched in decades. Additionally, eight include those determinants, other three contextual/environmental factors, social one outcome, subjective well-being. limitations/implications The had limitations conducting findings provide some theoretical implications. Practical implications seven only outcome practitioners policymakers. Originality/value derived studies during 2000–2021.
